This month's heavy-relief medal is directly inspired by the historic 18th-century polychrome statue housed in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Santiago, Chile. Depicting St. Michael in traditional Roman military cuirass driving his spear into Satan, that Spanish colonial sculpture is now a medal you can wear.
